Pāṇḍu’s Gifts, Forest Residence, and Vidura’s Marriage

यस्य पुत्रा महेष्वासा जज्ञिरे पज्च पाण्डवा: | ऋतुकाले ततो ज्येष्ठां वधूं तस्मै न्ययोजयत्‌,यह वही बालक था, जिसके पुत्र महाधनुर्धारी पाँच पाण्डव हुए। इसके बाद ऋतुकाल आनेपर सत्यवतीने अपनी बड़ी बहू अम्बिकाको पुनः व्यासजीसे मिलनेके लिये नियुक्त किया

yasya putrā maheṣvāsā jajñire pañca pāṇḍavāḥ | ṛtukāle tato jyeṣṭhāṁ vadhūṁ tasmai nyayojayat |

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Aus eben jenem Kind gingen die fünf Pāṇḍavas hervor, gewaltige Bogenschützen. Danach, als die rechte Zeit gekommen war, bestimmte Satyavatī erneut ihre ältere Schwiegertochter Ambikā, Vyāsa zu begegnen, damit die königliche Kuru-Linie fortgeführt werde.
