Pāṇḍu’s Gifts, Forest Residence, and Vidura’s Marriage
ततः कुमारं सा देवी प्राप्तकालमजीजनत् । पाण्डुं लक्षणसम्पन्नं दीप्यमानमिव श्रिया,तदनन्तर देवी अम्बालिकाने समय आनेपर एक पाण्डुवर्णके पुत्रको जन्म दिया। वह अपनी दिव्य कान्तिसे उद्धासित हो रहा था
tataḥ kumāraṃ sā devī prāptakālam ajījanat | pāṇḍuṃ lakṣaṇasampannaṃ dīpyamānam iva śriyā ||
Dann gebar jene Königin, als die rechte Zeit gekommen war, einen Sohn—Pāṇḍu—ausgestattet mit glückverheißenden Merkmalen, strahlend, als würde ihn Fortuna selbst erleuchten.
