Pāṇḍu’s Gifts, Forest Residence, and Vidura’s Marriage

Educational Q&A

The verse is a colophon signaling the completion of a chapter whose subject is Satyavatī’s counsel; it highlights the Mahābhārata’s emphasis on the ethical weight of guidance—how instruction from elders and guardians of lineage can determine rightful action and future consequences.

This is an editorial/narrative closing line: Vaiśampāyana indicates that the 104th chapter of the Sambhava Parva within the Ādi Parva—focused on Satyavatī’s instruction—has concluded.
