अध्याय ९६: शरभ-प्रादुर्भावः, नृसिंह-दर्पशमनम्, विष्णोः शिवस्तुतिः, फलश्रुति

ननाद तनुवेगेन तं गृहीतुं प्रचक्रमे अत्रान्तरे महाघोरं विपक्षभयकारणम्

nanāda tanuvegena taṃ gṛhītuṃ pracakrame atrāntare mahāghoraṃ vipakṣabhayakāraṇam

Brüllend stürmte er mit der Wucht seines Leibes voran und begann, ihn zu packen. Da erhob sich sogleich etwas überaus Schreckliches—eine Erscheinung, die der gegnerischen Seite zum eigentlichen Grund des Entsetzens wurde.
