अविमुक्तक्षेत्रमाहात्म्य — काशी-वाराणसी में मोक्ष, लिङ्ग-तीर्थ-मानचित्र, और उपासना-विधि

श्रुतिमद्भिश् च विप्रेन्द्रैः संसिद्धैश् च तपस्विभिः प्रतिमासं तथाष्टम्यां प्रतिमासं चतुर्दशीम्

śrutimadbhiś ca viprendraiḥ saṃsiddhaiś ca tapasvibhiḥ pratimāsaṃ tathāṣṭamyāṃ pratimāsaṃ caturdaśīm

Und von Veda-kundigen Brahmanen—den Vornehmsten unter den Zweimalgeborenen—sowie von vollendeten Asketen wird die Übung jeden Monat bewahrt: am achten Mondtag (Aṣṭamī) und ebenso am vierzehnten (Caturdaśī), als heilige Zeiten der Verehrung Patis (Herrn Śivas), der die Fesseln (pāśa) des paśu (der Einzelseele) löst.
