इति श्रीलिङ्गमहापुराणे पूर्वभागे शिवमूर्तिप्रतिष्ठाफलकथनं नाम षट्सप्ततितमो ऽध्यायः ऋषय ऊचुः लिङ्गप्रतिष्ठापुण्यं च लिङ्गस्थापनमेव च लिङ्गानां चैव भेदाश् च श्रुतं तव मुखादिह

iti śrīliṅgamahāpurāṇe pūrvabhāge śivamūrtipratiṣṭhāphalakathanaṃ nāma ṣaṭsaptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ ṛṣaya ūcuḥ liṅgapratiṣṭhāpuṇyaṃ ca liṅgasthāpanameva ca liṅgānāṃ caiva bhedāś ca śrutaṃ tava mukhādiha

Die Weisen sprachen: „Hier haben wir aus deinem eigenen Mund vom Verdienst der Weihe des Śiva‑Liṅga gehört, von der Handlung des Aufstellens des Liṅga und auch von den verschiedenen Einteilungen der Liṅgas.“
