Adhyaya 73 — त्रिपुरदाहे ब्रह्मस्तवः
Brahmā’s Hymn in the Context of Tripura’s Burning
Suta Goswami (narrating; internal exhortation among the Devas inferred)
It establishes Shiva-abharchana (devam abhyarcya) as the indispensable prerequisite for the fruition of any karma—implying that Linga-puja aligns action with Pati, the Lord of all results.
Shiva is implied as Pati—the sovereign cause and regulator of manifestation—beyond mere time (a ‘year’) and beyond mechanical causality, making Him the decisive ground for creation and accomplishment.
Focused worship (abhyarchana) performed with sustained effort (yatnataḥ), a core Pashupata orientation: directing all works to Pati to loosen pasha (bondage) upon the pashu (individual soul).
