Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It maps the karmendriyas (organs of action) and their functions, showing what must be purified and restrained so the devotee’s actions become offerings (karma as arpaṇa) to the Linga, reducing pāśa (bondage).
By implication, Shiva as Pati stands beyond these action-functions, while the pashu (soul) operates through them; realizing Shiva-tattva means shifting from compulsive karmic action to conscious, consecrated action aligned with the Lord.
Indriya-saṃyama (discipline of the organs), especially purification of vāk (speech) through mantra-japa and truthful, restrained utterance—key supports for Pashupata-oriented sādhanā and Linga-pūjā.
