अध्याय 66: इक्ष्वाकुवंश-ऐलवंशप्रवाहः (त्रिशङ्कु-राम-ययात्यादि-प्रकरणम्)
सर्वे पाशुपते ज्ञानम् अधीत्य परमेश्वरम् समभ्यर्च्य यथाज्ञानम् इष्ट्वा यज्ञैर्यथाविधि
sarve pāśupate jñānam adhītya parameśvaram samabhyarcya yathājñānam iṣṭvā yajñairyathāvidhi
Nachdem sie alle die pāśupatische Weisheit erlernt hatten, verehrten sie Parameśvara (Śiva) gemäß ihrem Verständnis; und nach der vorgeschriebenen Ordnung vollzogen sie die Opfer richtig, indem sie sie als Handlungen darbrachten, die auf Pati gerichtet sind — den Herrn, der den paśu (die Seele) von den Fesseln des pāśa (der Bindung) befreit.
