देवादिसृष्टिकथनम् (वसिष्ठशोकः, पराशरजन्म, एकलिङ्गपूजा, रुद्रदर्शनम्)

ततः सासूत तनयं दशमे मासि सुप्रभम् शक्तिपत्नी यथा शक्तिं शक्तिमन्तमरुन्धती

tataḥ sāsūta tanayaṃ daśame māsi suprabham śaktipatnī yathā śaktiṃ śaktimantamarundhatī

Daraufhin gebar Arundhatī im zehnten Monat einen strahlenden Sohn—wie die Gefährtin der Śakti die Kraft selbst hervorbringt, so brachte auch sie einen Machtbegabten zur Welt.
