Adhyaya 61 — ग्रह-नक्षत्र-स्थाननिर्णयः

Cosmic Abodes of Luminaries and the Shaiva Order of Time

द्विगुणः सूर्यविस्ताराद् विस्तारः शशिनः स्मृतः तुल्यस्तयोस्तु स्वर्भानुर् भूत्वाधस्तात्प्रसर्पति

dviguṇaḥ sūryavistārād vistāraḥ śaśinaḥ smṛtaḥ tulyastayostu svarbhānur bhūtvādhastātprasarpati

Die Ausdehnung des Mondes wird als doppelt so groß wie der Durchmesser der Sonne gelehrt. Und Svarbhānu (Rāhu), beiden im Maß gleich werdend, gleitet unter ihnen dahin—als Ursache der Finsternis. In diesem geordneten Kosmos bleibt allein der Herr (Pati) der souveräne Lenker, während die Leuchten und die Grahas innerhalb der Fesseln (pāśa) des bemessenen Laufs wirken.
