In dieser Welt heißt das vom Wind genährte Feuer das irdische Feuer. Und jenes reine Feuer, das zu Beginn der Welten als Sonne erstrahlt, wird als Śuci Agni, der makellose Agni, in Erinnerung gehalten.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Linga Purana to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It frames fire (Agni) as a graded cosmic principle—earthly fire and solar fire—supporting Shaiva worship where external homa-fire and inner tejas are both offerings directed toward Pati (Shiva) as the regulator of cosmic order.
By classifying fires as terrestrial and solar, it implies a governed hierarchy of tejas within creation; in Shaiva Siddhanta terms, such ordered manifestation belongs to Pati, while the pashu experiences these powers under pasha until purified.
It points to the linkage between outer ritual fire (vahni in yajña/homa) and inner purity (śuci-agni as refined tejas), a key Pashupata-oriented takeaway: purify the inner fire through discipline, mantra, and Shiva-bhakti.
