FAQs

By listing named divisions of the year, the verse situates worship within Shiva’s governance of Kala (Time), implying that Linga-puja and observances gain power when aligned with cosmic order.

It reflects Shiva-tattva as Pati who regulates Kala and cosmic sequence; time is not random but an ordered manifestation under the Lord’s sovereignty, within which pashus move under pasha until liberated.

It points to vrata-s and puja-kala (proper timing of worship) and, yogically, to Pashupata discipline through contemplation of time’s cycles to loosen pasha (bondage) and stabilize awareness in the Pati.
