Suta Goswami
It frames Linga worship against vast cosmic time: kalpas and ‘days’ pass in numberless cycles, yet the Linga signifies Śiva as the timeless Pati who is constant through creation and dissolution.
By emphasizing immeasurable elapsed and remaining aeons, it implies that Shiva-tattva is not confined to kala (time). Śiva remains the sovereign Pati, while worlds and paśus move through cyclic manifestation.
No specific rite is prescribed in this line; the takeaway aligns with Pāśupata contemplation—meditating on the Lord’s transcendence of time to loosen pāśa (bondage) and orient the paśu toward liberation.
