„Darum lege diese Māyā ab und ringe mit aller Anstrengung — du bist würdig zu kämpfen.“ Als er jene Worte hörte und jene wunderbare Größe schaute, fasste er in sich einen festen Entschluss.
Suta Goswami (narrating an internal exhortation within the episode)
It frames Linga-bhakti as a discipline of rejecting Māyā (pāśa) and turning the Paśu toward Pati—steadfast effort and devotion become the ‘battle’ that purifies worship.
Shiva-tattva is implied as the transcendent Pati whose wondrous māhātmya is directly witnessed—His power exposes Māyā as subordinate and calls the soul to realign with truth.
A Pāśupata-oriented takeaway: vairāgya (detachment from Māyā) combined with yatna (disciplined striving), which supports japa, dhyāna, and steadfast Shiva-pūjā as means to loosen bondage.
