FAQs

It establishes the devotional standpoint of Linga-worship: the Linga signifies Viśveśvara as the supreme Pati, worthy of namaskāra and stuti by realized souls.

By saying “yo ’si so ’si,” it points to Shiva as self-identical, unsurpassed reality—Maheśvara, the Devadeva—beyond limiting definitions, the Lord over pashu and pasha.

The primary practice is stuti and namaskāra (devotional praise and prostration), a core limb supporting Pāśupata-oriented worship that steadies the mind in remembrance of Pati.
