Aghora-Mantra Japa: Graded Expiations, Pañcagavya Purification, and Homa for Mahāpātaka-Nivṛtti

कृत्वा च गुरुतल्पं च पापकृद्ब्राह्मणो यदि रुद्रगायत्रिया ग्राह्यं गोमूत्रं कापिलं द्विजाः

kṛtvā ca gurutalpaṃ ca pāpakṛdbrāhmaṇo yadi rudragāyatriyā grāhyaṃ gomūtraṃ kāpilaṃ dvijāḥ

O ihr Zweifachgeborenen: Wenn ein Brahmane, zum Sünder geworden, das schwere Vergehen begeht, das Lager des Lehrers zu entweihen (gurutaḷpa), dann soll er die Rudra-Gāyatrī als reinigendes Mantra ergreifen und zur Sühne den Urin einer fahlbraunen Kapilā-Kuh zu sich nehmen. Durch die Mantra-Kraft Rudras wird der paśu (gebundene Seele) vom pāśa (Unreinheit und Schuld) abgewandt und dem Herrn Pati, Śiva, zugeführt.
