Prāyaścitta for Theft, Forbidden Foods, Impurity, and Ritual Lapses; Tīrtha–Vrata Remedies; Pativratā Mahātmyam via Sītā and Agni

विण्मूत्रपाशनं कृत्वा रेतसश्चैतदाचरेत् / अनादिष्टेषु चैकाहं सर्वत्र तु यथार्थतः

viṇmūtrapāśanaṃ kṛtvā retasaścaitadācaret / anādiṣṭeṣu caikāhaṃ sarvatra tu yathārthataḥ

Nach dem Wasserlassen und dem Stuhlgang, ebenso nach dem Samenerguss, soll dieselbe Regel der Reinigung beachtet werden. Wo keine besondere Anweisung gegeben ist, soll man sie einen einzigen Tag lang befolgen—dies ist das rechte Prinzip, das überall anzuwenden ist.
