Śrāddha-vidhi for Pitṛs: Invitations, Purity, Offerings, and Conduct

पात्रे तु मृण्मये यो वै श्राद्धे भोजयते पितन् / स याति नरकं घोरं भोक्ता चैव पुरोधसः

pātre tu mṛṇmaye yo vai śrāddhe bhojayate pitan / sa yāti narakaṃ ghoraṃ bhoktā caiva purodhasaḥ

Wer bei einem Śrāddha die Pitṛs mit einem irdenen Gefäß speist, gelangt in eine furchtbare Hölle; ebenso auch der Opferpriester (purohita), der daran teilhat und davon isst.
