Śrāddha-Kāla-Nirṇaya: Proper Times, Nakṣatra Fruits, Tīrtha Merit, and Offerings for Ancestral Rites

लाजान् मधुयुतान् दद्यात् सक्तून् शर्करया सह / दद्याच्छ्राद्धे प्रयत्नेन शृङ्गाटककशेरुकान्

lājān madhuyutān dadyāt saktūn śarkarayā saha / dadyācchrāddhe prayatnena śṛṅgāṭakakaśerukān

Man soll lāja, geröstete Körner mit Honig vermischt, darbringen und saktu, Gerstenmehl, zusammen mit Zucker. Beim śrāddha soll man zudem mit Sorgfalt Wasserkastanien (śṛṅgāṭaka) und essbare Wurzeln bzw. Knollen (kaśeruka) opfern.
