Daily Duties of Brāhmaṇas: Snāna, Sandhyā, Sūrya-hṛdaya, Japa, Tarpaṇa, and the Pañca-mahāyajñas

अथोपतिष्ठेदादित्यं मूर्ध्नि पुष्पान्विताञ्जलिम् / प्रक्षिप्यालोकयेद् देवमुद्वयं तमसस्परि

athopatiṣṭhedādityaṃ mūrdhni puṣpānvitāñjalim / prakṣipyālokayed devamudvayaṃ tamasaspari

Dann soll man ehrfürchtig vor Āditya (der Sonne) stehen, die mit Blumen gefüllte Añjali über dem Haupt haltend; nachdem man sie dargebracht hat, soll man die aufsteigende Gottheit schauen, die jenseits der Finsternis ist.
