आगनेयास्त्रप्रतापप्रतिहतगतयो ऽदृष्टमार्गाः समन्ता द्भूपाला नष्टसंघाः परवशतनवो व्याकुलीभूतचित्ताः / भीताः संत्युक्तवस्त्रायुधकवचविभूषादिका मुक्तकेशा विस्पष्टोन्मत्तभावान्भृश तरमनुकुर्वन्त्यग्रतः शात्रवाणाम्

āganeyāstrapratāpapratihatagatayo 'dṛṣṭamārgāḥ samantā dbhūpālā naṣṭasaṃghāḥ paravaśatanavo vyākulībhūtacittāḥ / bhītāḥ saṃtyuktavastrāyudhakavacavibhūṣādikā muktakeśā vispaṣṭonmattabhāvānbhṛśa taramanukurvantyagrataḥ śātravāṇām

Durch die Glut des Agneyāstra wurde ihr Vorstoß aufgehalten; ringsum sahen sie keinen Weg und irrten umher. Die Heere der Könige zerfielen, ihre Leiber wie in fremder Gewalt, ihr Geist in Aufruhr. Aus Furcht warfen sie Gewand, Waffen, Panzer und Schmuck fort; mit gelöstem Haar gebärdeten sie sich vor den Feinden wie Rasende.
