tau tu gīrvāṇa-ṛṣabhau dustarād dhari-lokataḥ hata-śriyau brahma-śāpād abhūtāṁ vigata-smayau

Translation

Doch jene beiden Torhüter, die Besten unter den Halbgöttern, verloren durch den Fluch der Brāhmaṇas ihre Schönheit und ihren Glanz; ohne Hochmut und tief betrübt fielen sie aus Hari-loka, Vaikuṇṭha.
