Dakṣa’s Daughters, Cosmic Lineages, and the Population of the Three Worlds
This verse states that Śanaiścara (Shani/Saturn) was born from Chāyā, along with Sāvarṇi Manu.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates these dynastic details to Mahārāja Parīkṣit as part of the Purana’s lineage and time-cycle descriptions.
They remind a student of bhakti that history, time (grahas), and rulership (Manus) move under divine order—encouraging humility, steadiness, and faith in the Lord’s governance.
