मातुस्त्वतितरां पुत्रे स्‍नेहो मोहसमुद्भ‍व: । कृतद्युते: सपत्नीनां प्रजाकामज्वरोऽभवत् ॥ ३७ ॥

Auch die Liebe der Mutter zum Sohn, aus Verblendung geboren, wuchs übermäßig. Als die anderen Frauen Kṛtadyutis Sohn sahen, gerieten sie in Aufruhr vor Kindersehnsucht, als litten sie an hohem Fieber.
