Bhīṣmadeva’s Passing Away in the Presence of Lord Kṛṣṇa
Lord Kṛṣṇa was also a younger cousin of Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira as well as the intimate friend of Arjuna. But all the family members of the Pāṇḍavas knew Lord Kṛṣṇa as the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The Lord, although conscious of His supreme position, always behaved in a humanly custom, and so He also bowed down before the dying Bhīṣmadeva as if He were one of the younger brothers of King Yudhiṣṭhira.
Because Bhīṣma is a revered mahājana and elder who upheld dharma; even though he lay wounded, the Pāṇḍavas honor his spiritual greatness and seek auspiciousness by offering obeisances.
The cakrī is Lord Kṛṣṇa, the bearer of the Sudarśana cakra, who accompanies the Pāṇḍavas to meet Bhīṣma.
Honor saintly elders and devotees even in adversity; humility and reverence toward spiritually advanced persons invite clarity, blessings, and dharmic guidance.
