Devotion in Kimpuruṣa-varṣa and the Glory of Bhārata-varṣa

सत्यं दिशत्यर्थितमर्थितो नृणां नैवार्थदो यत्पुनरर्थिता यत: । स्वयं विधत्ते भजतामनिच्छता- मिच्छापिधानं निजपादपल्लवम् ॥ २७ ॥
satyaṁ diśaty arthitam arthito nṛṇāṁ naivārthado yat punar arthitā yataḥ svayaṁ vidhatte bhajatām anicchatām icchāpidhānaṁ nija-pāda-pallavam
Die Höchste Persönlichkeit Gottes erfüllt, worum Menschen bitten, doch gewährt Er keine Gabe, die sie erneut und erneut bitten ließe. Hingegen schenkt der Herr, selbst wenn der Verehrer es nicht begehrt, aus eigenem Willen den Schutz Seiner Lotosfüße—ein Schutz, der alle Wünsche stillt. Das ist Seine besondere Barmherzigkeit.
The devotees mentioned in the previous verse approach the Supreme Personality of Godhead with material motives, but this verse explains how such devotees are saved from those desires. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (2.3.10) advises:
This verse says the Lord may grant requested boons, but such gifts often fuel further craving; therefore they are not the highest mercy.
Because for selfless devotees the Lord gives His own lotus feet, which end restless desire and grant ultimate fulfillment (bhakti leading to liberation).
Pray less for outcomes and more for devotion and character; align actions with service, and treat gains as secondary while seeking steady remembrance of the Lord.
