न यस्य मायागुणचित्तवृत्तिभि-र्निरीक्षतो ह्यण्वपि दृष्टिरज्यते । ईशे यथा नोऽजितमन्युरंहसांकस्तं न मन्येत जिगीषुरात्मन: ॥ १९ ॥
na yasya māyā-guṇa-citta-vṛttibhir nirīkṣato hy aṇv api dṛṣṭir ajyate īśe yathā no ’jita-manyu-raṁhasāṁ kas taṁ na manyeta jigīṣur ātmanaḥ
Wir können die Macht des Zorns nicht beherrschen; daher entgehen wir beim Anblick materieller Dinge nicht Anziehung oder Abneigung. Doch der Höchste Herr wird davon niemals berührt: Obwohl Er die Welt zum Zwecke von Schöpfung, Erhaltung und Auflösung betrachtet, bleibt Er nicht im Geringsten betroffen. Darum soll, wer die Sinne besiegen will, Zuflucht bei den Lotosfüßen des Herrn nehmen; dann wird er siegreich sein.
The Supreme Personality of Godhead is always equipped with inconceivable potencies. Although creation takes place by His glancing over the material energy, He is not affected by the modes of material nature. Because of His eternally transcendental position, when the Supreme Personality of Godhead appears in this material world, the modes of material nature cannot affect Him. Therefore the Supreme Lord is called Transcendence, and anyone who wants to be secure from the influence of the modes of material nature must take shelter of Him.

This verse states that although the Lord observes the mind’s activities shaped by māyā’s modes, His own vision is never even slightly contaminated—He remains eternally pure and unconquered.
Because the Lord is never overcome by sin and has an unconquerable will; therefore, a seeker aiming to conquer the lower self should accept Him as the supreme controller and refuge.
Remember the Lord as the spotless witness of your mind, take shelter of Him through bhakti (hearing, chanting, prayer), and align choices with that higher supervision to steadily gain mastery over impulses.
