Mahārāja Sagara, Kapila Muni, and the Deliverance of the Sixty Thousand Sons
This verse states that Sumati’s sons, proud yet obedient to their father’s command, searched for the horse and dug up the earth in all directions while pursuing it.
Because they were determined to find the stolen sacrificial horse and, driven by pride and urgency, they tore through the earth everywhere as part of their search.
Obedience to duty is valuable, but pride and uncontrolled intensity can lead to destructive actions—one should act with humility and discernment while fulfilling responsibilities.
