FAQs

Budha is a prominent figure in the lunar dynasty narrative; this verse states that the self-born Brahmā produced a son named Budha, renowned for deep intelligence that removed his father’s sorrow.

Ātma-yoni is a well-known epithet for Brahmā, indicating he is manifested without ordinary material parentage; the verse uses it while describing Brahmā producing Budha.

It highlights that sober, profound intelligence (gambhīrā buddhi) can dispel grief and restore clarity—encouraging thoughtful discernment grounded in dharma during emotional distress.
