The Disappearance of the Yadu Dynasty and Lord Kṛṣṇa’s Departure

This verse states that excessive drinking made the warriors delirious and proud, and under Kṛṣṇa’s māyā it culminated in a massive internal clash.
Śukadeva explains that, as part of the Lord’s arrangement, the Yadus became bewildered by Kṛṣṇa’s māyā; intoxication and pride then triggered a great mutual conflict.
Avoid habits that inflame ego and dull discrimination—especially intoxication—because they easily breed quarrel; cultivate sobriety, humility, and devotion to remain clear-minded.
