पुरुषावयवैर्लोका: सपाला: पूर्वकल्पिता: । लोकैरमुष्यावयवा: सपालैरिति शुश्रुम ॥ ११ ॥

Transliteration

puruṣāvayavair lokāḥ sapālāḥ pūrva-kalpitāḥ lokair amuṣyāvayavāḥ sa-pālair iti śuśruma

Translation

O gelehrter Brāhmaṇa, früher wurde erklärt, dass alle Lokas mitsamt ihren jeweiligen Lenkergottheiten in den verschiedenen Gliedern des riesenhaften Leibes des Virāṭ‑Puruṣa gelegen sind. Auch habe ich gehört, dass die Planetensysteme in diesem Leib gedacht werden; doch wie ist ihre wirkliche Lage? Bitte erkläre es.
