स एव पुरुषस्तस्मादण्डं निर्भिद्य निर्गत: । सहस्रोर्वङ्‌घ्रिबाह्वक्ष: सहस्राननशीर्षवान् ॥ ३५ ॥

Transliteration

sa eva puruṣas tasmād aṇḍaṁ nirbhidya nirgataḥ sahasrorv-aṅghri-bāhv-akṣaḥ sahasrānana-śīrṣavān

Translation

Derselbe Puruṣa (Mahā-Viṣṇu) trat, obwohl er im Kausalozean ruhte, daraus hervor; er spaltete das kosmische Ei und ging als Hiraṇyagarbha in jedes Universum ein, wobei er die virāṭ-rūpa annahm – mit tausenden Füßen, Armen, Augen, Mündern und Häuptern.
