Mārkaṇḍeya Ṛṣi Meets Lord Śiva: Devotee as Living Tīrtha and the Lord’s Māyā
This verse states that Lord Śiva, the three-eyed Lord, granted boons to a sage and then departed—showing his responsiveness to sincere seekers and the Purāṇic theme that divine grace follows genuine austerity and devotion.
Sūta highlights that Śiva narrated the incident to Devī, underscoring how realized events are preserved through sacred dialogue and transmitted as authoritative spiritual history within Purāṇic tradition.
Seek blessings through sincerity and discipline, and value faithful retelling of realized wisdom—sharing spiritually uplifting lessons with family and community, as Śiva shares with Devī.
