Garga Muni Names Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma; the Butter-Thief Pastimes; Yaśodā Sees the Universe in Kṛṣṇa’s Mouth
Garga Muni indirectly disclosed, “This child was originally born as the son of Vasudeva, although He is acting as your child. Generally He is your child, but sometimes He is the son of Vasudeva.”
Because He appeared as the son of Vasudeva; thus the learned refer to the glorious child as “Vāsudeva,” indicating both His parentage and His divine identity.
During the naming ceremony, Garga Muni discreetly revealed Krishna’s connection to Vasudeva while speaking in a way that would not alarm others in Gokula.
It encourages seeing Krishna’s names as meaningful revelations of His līlā and identity, and cultivating devotion by remembering and honoring His holy names.
