अनयाराधितो नूनं भगवान् हरिरीश्वर: । यन्नो विहाय गोविन्द: प्रीतो यामनयद् रह: ॥ २८ ॥
anayārādhito nūnaṁ bhagavān harir īśvaraḥ yan no vihāya govindaḥ prīto yām anayad rahaḥ
Gewiss hat diese gopī Bhagavān Hari, den höchsten Īśvara, vollkommen verehrt; darum ließ Govinda, ihr wohlgefällig, uns zurück und führte sie an einen abgeschiedenen Ort.
Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī explains that the word ārādhitaḥ refers to Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī. He comments, “The sage Śukadeva Gosvāmī has tried with all endeavor to keep Her name hidden, but now it automatically shines forth from the moon of his mouth. That he has spoken Her name is indeed Her mercy, and thus the word ārādhitaḥ is like the rumbling of a kettledrum sounded to announce Her great good fortune.”
It means “surely He has been worshiped by this (girl).” The gopīs infer that one gopī must have especially pleased Kṛṣṇa through devoted worship, because He favored her by taking her aside.
In the narrative of the rāsa-līlā, Kṛṣṇa increases the gopīs’ love through separation and also reciprocates with individual devotion. Seeing His footprints with one gopī’s, they conclude He was especially pleased with her and went to a secluded place.
It teaches that sincere worship and loving service draw the Lord’s special reciprocation, and that moments of separation or longing can deepen devotion rather than weaken it.
