Chapter 376 — ब्रह्मज्ञानम्

Knowledge of Brahman

देह आत्मा न भवति दृस्यत्वाच्च घटादिवत् प्रसप्ते मरणे देहादात्मान्यो ज्ञायते ध्रुवं

deha ātmā na bhavati dṛsyatvācca ghaṭādivat prasapte maraṇe dehādātmānyo jñāyate dhruvaṃ

Der Körper ist nicht das Selbst, denn er ist als Gegenstand wahrnehmbar, wie ein Topf und dergleichen. Wenn der Tod eingetreten ist, erkennt man gewiss, dass das Selbst vom Körper verschieden ist.
