Concept: Mantra and maṇḍala as vehicles of śakti; initiation culminates in anugraha expressed as āśīrvāda and abhiṣeka, sealing the disciple’s new ritual identity.
Application: Follow a consistent paddhati while acknowledging authorized mantra-variants; complete rites with offering, blessing, kumbha-bath consecration, and proper visarjana to avoid ritual incompletion (apūrṇatā).
Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi (Shaiva Diksha & Mantra-nyasa / Mandala-vidhi)

Related Themes: Agni Purana 88 (Nirvāṇa-dīkṣā closing context); Agni Purana 89 (transition to Ekatattva-dīkṣā)
It gives a Śaiva ritual step: mantra-recitation (with noted textual variants), optional maṇḍala-direction placement, blessing the disciple, offering eight flowers, ablution with the Śiva-kumbha, and formally concluding the rite (visarjana of the makha).
It preserves practical liturgical details—mantra variants across recensions, maṇḍala-directional ritual notes, and initiation-style consecration—showing the Agni Purana’s compendium role in codifying pūjā, dīkṣā, and Tantra-adjacent procedures.
The blessing, flower-offering, and kumbha-ablution are purificatory and merit-producing acts that ritually sanctify the disciple and properly ‘seal’ the ceremony, ensuring auspicious completion and devotional fruit (śreyas) through correct closure.
