FAQs

It teaches core nitya-dharma etiquette: do not disparage deities or śāstra, do not disrespect nirmālya (consecrated remnants like offered flowers/garlands), and maintain lifelong pūjā to Śiva, Agni (sacred fire), and the Guru.

Alongside theology and myth, the Agni Purana preserves practical religious law and ritual protocol—temple/altar etiquette, authority of scripture, and the discipline of ongoing worship—showing its coverage of lived dharma in addition to narrative material.

Reverence to Deva, Śāstra, and Guru is framed as a lifelong vow that protects merit (puṇya), prevents ritual offense (aparādha), and stabilizes spiritual progress through sustained devotion and purity of conduct.
