Concept: Mantra is not merely spoken; it is ‘installed’ as a living presence in the heart-center through regulated prāṇa and guru-krama.
Application: In guided initiation contexts, emphasize breath-led concentration and visualization of the heart-lotus (karṇikā) as the exact locus for mantra-nyāsa.

It teaches a specific nyāsa technique: using the recaka (exhalation) phase of prāṇāyāma to ritually ‘install’ an encapsulated (hṛt-sampuṭita) mantra into the disciple’s heart-lotus, specifically at the karṇikā (central pericarp).
Alongside myth and theology, the Agni Purana preserves precise, practice-oriented ritual technology—linking mantra, yogic breath-control, and inner-lotus visualization—showing it functions as a manual of applied religious disciplines (pujā-vidhi, yoga, and tantric praxis).
The instruction frames mantra as a consciously transmitted spiritual power: proper installation in the heart-center purifies and stabilizes the disciple’s inner worship, supporting mantra-siddhi and disciplined transformation through regulated breath and correct rite.
