Account of the Procedure for the Processional Festival / Yātrā-Utsava Vidhi
आपो हिष्ठोपनिषदैः पूजयेदर्घ्यमुख्यकैः पुनर्देवं समादाय तोये कृत्वाघमर्षणं
āpo hiṣṭhopaniṣadaiḥ pūjayedarghyamukhyakaiḥ punardevaṃ samādāya toye kṛtvāghamarṣaṇaṃ
Mit der vedischen Wasserformel, die mit „Āpo hi ṣṭhā…“ beginnt, soll man die Gottheit verehren, indem man Arghya und die übrigen hauptsächlichen Wasseropfer darbringt; sodann, die Gottheit erneut (im Geist oder in der Hand) fassend, vollziehe man im Wasser das Aghamarṣaṇa-Ritual zur Tilgung der Sünde.
