Related Themes: Agni Purana ch. 63 (emblem/deity pratiṣṭhā and mantra-installation rules)
It gives mantra-prayoga and murti-lakṣaṇa: the ‘Trailokya-mohana’ deity should be ritually installed with the corresponding ‘Trilokya-mohana’ mantras and depicted holding a mace, in either a two-armed or four-armed form, for śānti (pacification).
Alongside mythology, the Agni Purana preserves practical temple-technology: exact instructions for mantra-based installation (sthapana) and iconographic specifications (weapons, number of arms), reflecting its wide coverage of ritual science and sacred art.
Installing and worshipping a śānti-kara form through the proper mantras is presented as a means to generate auspicious calm—ritually pacifying obstacles and disturbances, and aligning worship with dharmic order.
