FAQs

It transmits a precise nomenclature of specific Śakti-forms (epithets) used for identification in stuti, japa, and Devi-oriented ritual/tantric cataloging.

By systematically listing named divine energies, the text functions like a reference index—preserving ritual vocabulary and theological classifications alongside other disciplines covered in the Purāṇa.

Remembering and reciting the Goddess’s names is traditionally held to invoke her corresponding energies—awakening (prabodhanī), protection (mahākālī), and life-giving nectar-like grace (amṛtā).
