FAQs

It teaches an Ayurvedic nasya procedure: administering palm-held medicated ghee mixed with rock-salt and processed with specific digestive-aromatic drugs (pippalī, dry ginger, cumin) along with yavāgū and mustā.

Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves practical healthcare instructions—here, a precise formulation and method for nasal therapy—showing its wide coverage of applied sciences like Ayurveda.

In Purāṇic framing, maintaining bodily clarity (especially of the head and senses) supports purity for worship and disciplined living; such therapies are treated as supportive acts for sattvic health and ritual readiness.
