FAQs

It prescribes a worship sequence: cleanse/purify using pañcāmṛta, kaṣāya (decoctions), and fragrant purified water, then offer pre-consecrated items—cloth, fragrance (often sandal paste), and flowers—as standard upacāras.

It documents practical liturgical details—specific purificatory media and the protocol of adhivāsana (prior consecration) before offering materials—showing the text’s handbook-like coverage of temple and domestic ritual technology.

The instruction emphasizes śuddhi (purity) and saṃskāra (sanctification): offerings become ritually fit and spiritually efficacious when cleansed and consecrated, supporting merit (puṇya) and proper devotional correctness in worship.
