Explanation of the Rite of Initiation

सम्मोक्ष्य विष्णुं हस्तेन मूर्धानं स्पृश्य वै क्रमात् प्रकृत्यादिविकृत्यन्तां साधिभूताधिदैवतां

sammokṣya viṣṇuṃ hastena mūrdhānaṃ spṛśya vai kramāt prakṛtyādivikṛtyantāṃ sādhibhūtādhidaivatāṃ

Nachdem man Viṣṇu ordnungsgemäß angerufen und fest eingesetzt hat, berührt man dann der Reihe nach mit der Hand den Scheitel, indem man das göttliche Prinzip von Prakṛti bis zu den letzten Evoluten (vikṛti) betrachtet, zusammen mit den Entsprechungen von adhibhūta und adhidaivata.
