FAQs

Right governance is paired with right knowledge: the king’s authority is refined by śāstra through the guidance of a qualified purohita, integrating power with wisdom and restraint.

Vamśānucarita: it supplements genealogy with the institutional supports of kingship (purohita, Vedic training), a common Purāṇic method of portraying ideal dynastic order.

Vasiṣṭha represents the archetype of Brahmanical counsel; teaching ‘Vedas with Vedāṅgas’ signifies completeness—ritual, phonetics, grammar, etymology, meter, and astronomy—so dharma is practiced with precision, not sentiment alone.
