Sarvasara

मन आदिश्च प्राणादिश्चेच्छादिश्च सत्त्वादिश्च पुण्यादिश्चैते पञ्चवर्गा इति। एतेषां पञ्चवर्गाणां धर्मीभूतात्मा ज्ञानादृते न विनश्यति। आत्मसन्निधौ नित्यत्वेन प्रतीयमान आत्मोपाधिर्यस्तल्लिङ्गशरीरं हृद्ग्रन्थिरित्युच्यते॥७॥

मनः । आदिः । च । प्राण-आदिः । च । इच्छा-आदिः । च । सत्त्व-आदिः । च । पुण्य-आदिः । च । एते । पञ्च-वर्गाः । इति । एतेषाम् । पञ्च-वर्गाणाम् । धर्मी-भूतः । आत्मा । ज्ञानात् । ऋते । न । विनश्यति । आत्म-सन्निधौ । नित्यत्वेन । प्रतीयमानः । आत्म-उपाधिः । यः । तत् । लिङ्ग-शरीरम् । हृत्-ग्रन्थिः । इति । उच्यते ॥७॥

mana ādiś ca prāṇādiś cecchādiś ca sattvādiś ca puṇyādiś caite pañcavargā iti | eteṣāṃ pañcavargāṇāṃ dharmībhūtātmā jñānād ṛte na vinaśyati | ātmasannidhau nityatvena pratīyamāna ātmopādhir yas tal liṅgaśarīraṃ hṛdgranthiḥ ity ucyate ||7||

মন প্রভৃতি, প্রাণ প্রভৃতি, ইচ্ছা প্রভৃতি, সত্ত্ব প্রভৃতি এবং পুণ্য প্রভৃতি—এগুলিই পাঁচটি বর্গ বলে কথিত। এই পাঁচ বর্গের ধর্মী-রূপ আত্মা জ্ঞান ব্যতীত বিনষ্ট হয় না। আত্মার সান্নিধ্যে যে আত্মোপাধি নিত্যরূপে প্রতীয়মান, তাকেই লিঙ্গশরীর এবং হৃদয়গ্রন্থি বলা হয়॥৭॥

‘Mind and the rest, breath and the rest, desire and the rest, sattva and the rest, merit and the rest’—these are said to be five groups. The Self, as the substratum (dharmin) of these five groups, does not perish apart from knowledge. That adjunct of the Self which, in the proximity of the Self, is apprehended as eternal—this is called the subtle body (liṅga-śarīra), (also) the knot of the heart (hṛd-granthi).
