Sarvasara

सत्यं ज्ञानमनन्तं ब्रह्म । सत्यमविनाशि । अविनाशि नाम देशकालवस्तुनिमित्तेषु विनश्यत्सु यन्न विनश्यति तदविनाशि । ज्ञानं नामोत्पत्तिविनाशरहितं नैरन्तर्यं चैतन्यं ज्ञानमुच्यते । अनन्तं नाम मृद्विकारेषु मृदिव स्वर्णविकारेषु स्वर्णमिव तन्तुविकारेषु तन्तुरिवाव्यक्तादिसृष्टिप्रपञ्चेषु पूर्णं व्यापकं चैतन्यमनन्तमित्युच्यते । आनन्दं नाम सुखचैतन्यस्वरूपोऽपरिमितानन्दसमुद्रोऽवशिष्टसुखस्वरूपश्चानन्द इत्युच्यते॥१२॥

satyaṃ jñānam anantaṃ brahma | satyam avināśi | avināśi nāma deśa-kāla-vastu-nimitteṣu vinaśyatsu yan na vinaśyati tad avināśi | jñānaṃ nāmotpatti-vināśa-rahitaṃ nairantaryaṃ caitanyaṃ jñānam ucyate | anantaṃ nāma mṛd-vikāreṣu mṛd iva svarṇa-vikāreṣu svarṇam iva tantu-vikāreṣu tantur ivāvyaktādi-sṛṣṭi-prapañceṣu pūrṇaṃ vyāpakaṃ caitanyam anantam ity ucyate | ānandaṃ nāma sukha-caitanya-svarūpo'parimita-ānanda-samudro'vaśiṣṭa-sukha-svarūpaś cānanda ity ucyate ||12||

ব্রহ্ম সত্য, জ্ঞান ও অনন্ত। ‘সত্য’ অবিনাশী। ‘অবিনাশী’ অর্থ—দেশ, কাল, বস্তু ও নিমিত্ত নষ্ট হলেও যা নষ্ট হয় না, তাই অবিনাশী। ‘জ্ঞান’ অর্থ—উৎপত্তি ও বিনাশরহিত, নিরবচ্ছিন্ন চৈতন্য; তাকেই জ্ঞান বলা হয়। ‘অনন্ত’ অর্থ—মৃৎবিকারে মৃৎ যেমন, স্বর্ণবিকারে স্বর্ণ যেমন, তন্তুবিকারে তন্তু যেমন—অব্যক্ত থেকে আরম্ভ সৃষ্টিপ্রপঞ্চে পূর্ণ ও সর্বব্যাপী চৈতন্য; তাকেই অনন্ত বলা হয়। ‘আনন্দ’ অর্থ—সুখ-চৈতন্যস্বরূপ, অপরিমেয় আনন্দসমুদ্র, এবং অবশিষ্ট সুখের সার; তাকেই আনন্দ বলা হয়।

Brahman is truth, knowledge, and infinite. Truth is imperishable. ‘Imperishable’ means: when space, time, objects, and causes perish, that which does not perish is imperishable. ‘Knowledge’ means the continuous consciousness free from origination and destruction; that is called knowledge. ‘Infinite’ means the full, all-pervading consciousness—like clay in clay-modifications, like gold in gold-modifications, like thread in thread-modifications—present throughout the manifested cosmos beginning with the unmanifest; that is called infinite. ‘Bliss’ means: whose nature is happiness-consciousness, an immeasurable ocean of bliss, and the residual essence of happiness; that is called bliss.
