स्नात्वा ध्यात्वा शिवं देवं मनसाऽचिन्तयद्यदा । तदा रुद्रः समायातस्त्रिनेत्रो वृषभध्वजः । महर्षे तव तुष्टोऽहं किं करोमि वदस्व तत्
snātvā dhyātvā śivaṃ devaṃ manasā'cintayadyadā | tadā rudraḥ samāyātastrinetro vṛṣabhadhvajaḥ | maharṣe tava tuṣṭo'haṃ kiṃ karomi vadasva tat
স্নান করে, ধ্যান করে, যখন তিনি মনে শিবদেবকে চিন্তা করছিলেন, তখন ত্রিনেত্র, বৃষভধ্বজ রুদ্র উপস্থিত হয়ে বললেন—“হে মহর্ষি! আমি তোমার প্রতি প্রসন্ন; বলো, তোমার জন্য কী করব?”
